Born from the resilience of post-earthquake Haiti, Lakou Mizik is a vibrant collective that channels the country’s deep musical traditions into high-energy, soul-stirring performances. With a sound that blends vodou rhythms, rara street beats, twoubadou ballads, and dance-floor-ready grooves, the band has become one of Haiti’s most exciting cultural exports.

This multigenerational ensemble features master drummer and racine pioneer Sanba Zao, producer and guitarist Steeve Valcourt, powerhouse vocalist Nadine Remy, and genre-bending songwriter Jonas Attis. Rounding out the band are rara horn wizards Peterson “Ti Piti” Joseph and James Carrier, groove-driven bassist Junior Lamarre, and twoubadou accordionist Beniste Belony.
