  – 6:00 PM\n\n\n\nAbout the event\n\n\n\nThis four hour class teaches st
 udents the basics of how to create a hand\npainted nature-themed flag bunt
 ing. The focus of the class will be on\npainting multiples of the same des
 ign\, creating five identical flags in a\nfun and efficient process.\nI’
 ll start by giving a brief presentation on my design process\, with visual
 \nexamples of botanical flag designs I’ve created. I’ll go over basic 
 painting\ntechniques and material selection\, students will have time to s
 ketch\ndesign ideas and select a color palette\, and then we’ll jump int
 o\npainting!\nAt the end of the class there is the opportunity to do a “
 community\nswap”\, exchanging flags with other students to create a bann
 er of five\nunique flags. We will assemble the flags into banners\, and st
 udents will\ntake home a unique piece of folk art to decorate their favori
 te space.\n\n \nAbout the Instructor:\nMeg Reinhold is a muralist and tex
 tile artist. She lives in a scenic river\nvalley in Granville Vermont\, wh
 ere she operates Trillium Handcrafts from\nher home studio. Her style is b
 est described as folk art\, taking inspiration\nfrom traditional handcraft
 s and a close relationship to the land.\nMeg makes things that are beautif
 ul and useful\, that celebrate our\nrelationship with the natural world an
 d incorporate art into everyday life\n\n\n\n\n
