SUMMARY:Pride of Woodstock: Remarkable: Voices From The Trans Community in
 Woodstock!
DESCRIPTION:\n\nRemarkable: Voices From The Trans Community\n\n Thursday\,
  June 26\, 2025\n 6:30 PM  7:30 PM\n\n\n Pentangle Arts31 The Gree
nWoodstock (map)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDocumentary begins at 6:30 with a pan
el discussion to follow.\nSubjective perspectives are essential to researc
h and our modern media landscape. Yet\, the subjective reports of trans pe
ople are constantly scrutinized by journalists and medical researchers. Tr
ans people of all ages are denied insurance coverage for medical transitio
n until a trusted expert is willing to verify their sense of self. Why are
trans identities so easily dismissed? What makes someone an expert? Do ob
jective perspectives even exist? Interviews with innovators such as Julia
Serano\, P. Carl\, anthropologist Marijke Naezer\, and the perspectives of
trans community members\, help us to visualize the possibilities of a wor
ld wherein we finally trust one another.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
