DESCRIPTION:On the evening of Saturday March 15\, acclaimed singer\, compos
 er\, and song collector Moira Smiley (VT) will present a concert of origin
 al and traditional folk music in Montague Center\, MA. She will perform so
 ngs from her most recent album “The Rhizome Project”\, accompanied liv
 e by the Rhizome Quartet\, a string quartet of world-class\, Boston-based 
 musicians Annegret Klaua (violin)\, Yonah Zur (violin)\, Lysander Jaffe (v
 iola)\, and Elizabeth Cook (cello). The historic and intimate Montague Com
 mon Hall will be the perfect venue for this special musical offering.\nEar
 lier in the afternoon\, Smiley will offer a community singing workshop\, 
 “Singing the Rhizome”\, incorporating warmups\, musical games\, and si
 nging new and old folk songs in rich vocal harmony. The workshop is open t
 o singers of all levels and ages. A community potluck will be held between
  the workshop and concert.\nThe concert will be held on the evening of Sat
 urday March 15 from 6:30-8pm\, at the Montague Common Hall\, 34 Main St\, 
 Montague Center\, MA. Suggested donation is $20\, with nobody turned away 
 for lack of funds. The workshop will be held 3-5pm\, with community potluc
