Chelsea, Vermont– The Fourth Annual Arts on the Green Market & Festival will be held in celebratory fashion on Chelsea’s historic North Common on Saturday, September 2nd, from 10 am to 3 pm, rain or shine. This is a free to the public, family-friendly event, hosted by the Chelsea Arts Collective. The work of 40 artists and artisans will be shared and sold, accompanied by a full day of music and food options.

The day kicks off with guitar virtuoso Doug Perkins of Washington, VT, followed by Sunday Table, a Hanover based jazz quartet, and finishes up with Footworks and their high-energy Gaelic music of Cape Breton Island.

Food options will be wide and varied: The Box Truck will bring its delicious Baja themed menu. Sustainable Eats, which offers locally-sourced meals and snacks, returns for its third year. Chicken Wiggle Farm will be serving grilled classics, as well as pulled pork sandwiches. And Aunt Mandy’s Baked Goods is joining us with sweet treats and fresh fruit cups. Festival attendees can top off with Will’s Store cremees!

The Art Bus and The Family Art Tent will offer opportunities for individual and family art-making. Workshops led by Chelsea artists John Parker and Tanya Libby will be open through the day.

A live auction will take place with works donated by many local artists, including Maggie Neal, Marcia Hammond, Kathy Myers, Chris Vernon, and more. In addition, local businesses have donated goods and services to be auctioned to benefit next year’s festival.
