Art Exhibition: The painting world of Fritz Gross

Due to the incoming weather, the Opening Reception for The Painting World of Fritz Gross Exhibition at The Tunbridge General Store will be postponed until Wed. March 27th 5-7pm. There will be live music that evening as well. Please spread the word.
These magical, colorful canvases will transport you to another world, one filled with curiosities and laughter. This Exhibition will run from Friday, March 22nd through Sunday May 12th, 2024. Gross states: “Explaining my work feels redundant. Art is a form of communication which stands by itself. When asked to explain my work, I feel like I am translating my English to English and I am a little lost. In a restaurant if the waiter explains that the wine has notes of chocolate and tobacco and finishes with a burst of citrus, I do not want to drink it. I do not need an explanation, the experience of drinking the wine tells me enough. In the same sort of way, I want my work to explain itself. I believe that all good art come from a place of honesty without pretention or over intellectualizing. That is what I strive to achieve. To me the question is the important part, not the answer”
