East Barnard Fun Day – July 13
Dear neighbors;
Mark your calendars for the annual East Barnard Fun Day to be held on July
13th in East Barnard Village.
The parade will start at 11:30 and this year’s theme is “Into the Wild.” This
is a short, fun parade that everyone is welcome to either join in or just
enjoy as a spectator. Kids and costumes, bikes, balloons, whatever, are all
welcome to participate.
The chicken barbecue lunch will commence immediately after the parade, closely
followed by various fun and games for young and old alike. Games include
rubber duck races, tug of war, three-legged race, greased pole climb (no
grease really), egg toss and others. There is also a “your favorite dessert”
contest. Bring a dessert and enter it into the contest if you can.
This event is sponsored by the Broad Brook Volunteer Fire Department for the
enjoyment of everyone. It's intended to give back to the Community, but we
always encourage and welcome donating to the Department if you can.
