Inspired by folk artist Joni Mitchell and alt singers like Alanis Morrisette, Ani DiFranco, and Natalie Merchant; Beth Monroe is an acoustic singer/songwriter who vints a rich blend of indie folk with subtle notes of alt rock. With over a decade of performing in Upper Valley Vermont and New Hampshire, Beth’s presence is a refreshing bouquet of ethereal originals and thoughtfully selected covers.
Beth’s background is in choral music, having performed with the A.W. Dreyfoos, Jr. School of the Arts Singers in the early 2000s, including an appearance at the International Eisteddfod Festival in Wales on 2002. Her fascination with the story of humanity inspired her to earn a degree in history.
She has had the honor to perform in several local Vermont and New Hampshire projects such as The Sleepy Weasels and Of Conscious Mind, and work with local talent like Vincent Freeman (The Party Crashers); Titien Tolbert (Coquette, The Conniption Fits); Kenny Bailey and Scotty McDermott (Social Mycelium); “The Fiddle Ninja,” Jacob Breitback (Beecharmer); Bonnie Waters (Meadowlark) and Ethan Aveñdano-Lawrence (Jack In The Pulpit, DJ Chele).
Her music finds its natural home in the cozy ambiance of cafés, the relaxed charm of wineries, and the vibrant energy of festivals. Beth’s performances are known for their blend of light-hearted banter with moments of meaningful connection, making her an ideal choice for intimate venues and community gatherings. From local favorites like Woodstock ArtFest and the Cornish Fair to charming farmer’s markets, Beth enchants audiences with a sound that resonates long after the last note fades.
